Brunswick West Beauty
A feast for the senses: Productive trees and plants dance amongst richly diverse flower-filled garden, which frames the central open grassy space
Stage 1
In April 2024, Wild Urban Green set to work creating a beautiful perennial garden for our clients to enjoy. Existing Lemon and Avocado trees were retained, and two Crepe Myrtles and an Irish Strawberry tree were added to boost the canopy layer. Corten steel edging framed the central grassy area (retained portion of existing lawn) and carefully chosen flowering plants, grasses and groundcovers were woven through the new garden to form a diverse understory. A Harvest Box was handcrafted as a growing space for seasonal vegetables.

Stage 2
A year later, our team returned to create side gardens to extend and complement the back garden.
Prior to our works, the extensive Cyprus hedge and Pittosporum trees were removed. Our team then boosted the soil health and filled the new garden beds with a rich mix of perennial plantings. Orange trees and an additional Irish Strawberry tree were added to screen the fence running alongside the deck area. Further along the sideway, the old Pittosporums were replaced with a simple, but very pretty, addition of Camellias underplanted with Liriopes, Strawberries, and Dichondra ‘Silver Falls’.
See gallery below to view the established back garden in its winter glory, and the newly planted side gardens.
